The 7” Bi Turbo Supreme Cup Wheel cleans concrete, removes coatings, and levels high spots. The larger grade industrial diamonds allow for aggressive concrete cleaning. The patented core design keeps diamonds and any material being removed cool which prevents load up.

A diamond grinding disk is recommended as many types of abrasive disks may not offer the profile required for coating application. To ensure that you have the right grinder and abrasive for the job, be sure to consider (1) the type of coating or other contaminant that is being removed, (2) the psi of the concrete surface, taking into account the age of the concrete surface, (3) the geographic location of the job site, (4) the size of the job (square feet), and (5) the power sources available at the job site.

Maximize your productivity by using the Blastrac recommended accessories. See our full line of grinding and polishing systems and accessories. We have the perfect tool for your job!

  • Longer segments help reduced swirl marks

How Grinders and Polishers Work:

Diamond grinders and polishers use horizontally rotating disks to level, smooth or clean a concrete surface. A diamond tipped or other type of abrasive wheel (such as a Zec litex disc) is mounted on the grinder. The grinder may have single or multiple heads and vary in power and production.

Grinders and Polishers are used to:

  • Remove coatings
  • Remove adhesive residues
  • Smooth or flatten concrete slabs, including troublesome curled expansion joints
  • Prepare concrete for a coating, overlayment, hardwood, or tile
  • Remove surface imperfections

For decorative concrete applications, some machines can be used to polish concrete to a high shine or to restore old slabs for architectural finishes.

Depending on the type of abrasive wheel used on the grinder, it can be used to lightly prepare the surface (especially useful when applying thin mil coatings) or can quickly remove mastics, epoxies, urethane, paint and thick coatings. Some types of multi-headed grinders can be outfitted with carbide slicers or PCD (Poly Crystalline Diamond) to quickly cut through heavy, built-up adhesives, elastomeric coatings, waterproof membranes and more.
